![]() We were very fortunate to be on island vacationing during the Sion Farms Mutiny Island Vodka Distillery Grand Opening in August. If anyone recommends the Leatherback Brewery, please let me know as we didn't get a chance to go.Īfter enjoying the new island vodka at the Mutiny Island Vodka tasting room & drinks at the Pizza Mill down on the boardwalk in February, we looked forward to completion & touring of the distillery facility. Come get your winery/brewery/distillery fix here. Chrissy also gave us a bunch of local information and wrote down the recipe to recreate some of the new cocktails that my gf loved so much at home. Drinks here range from 7 to about 10 bucks. And the master mixologist was, as well (Jack was it?) The painkiller is good, the lime in de coconut is good (though our lime in de coconut at Rhythms was unbelievable) and my girlfriend got a couple cocktails that they were newly breaking out for the Christmas season and she loved them. On day 2, we just came for drinks because we had to pick up our Coronavirus test results at the local Plessen Urgent Care Center. We then went back to our high top and got another round. It was probably a 15 minute walk through but informative. On day 1, we got our drinks and then headed to the distillery right on the other side of the glass wall and she told us the whole story of how they make breadfruit vodka and all the environmental benefits breadfruit has. Chrissy was our bartender/tour guide/bar conversationalist and she was very cool (hope we spelled Chrissy right). Their drinks are totally delicious though. You walk in and the bar area has 3 high tops at the bar (no standing at the bar) and a couple tables against the window. You won't find a grand tasting room like at a Napa winery. The distillery tour itself is very basic because their operations is smaller batch and more local. I give them a 5 star rating for the drinks and for the people there. ![]() Sion Farm Distillery AKA the Mutiny vodka distillery IS open. So those who come to St Croix wanting to go to the Cruzan tour or Capt Morgan tour, unfortunately they are closed to Coronavirus at the moment.
